I'm Allan Lopez. I write in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, PHP, X++, and C#. I also can speak to databases and make servers do stuff. I like working on scalability, performance, design, and great user experiences.
I'm working with one of the top five digital banks in the US as part of the infrastructure team, where I focus on disaster recovery strategies and solutions. I specialize in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and use tools like Terraform to automate and manage our infrastructure deployments. I collaborate closely with the client to design, implement, and test failover and disaster recovery plans, ensuring everything runs smoothly and securely.
I introduced some modern development practices at work, like source control and coding standards, which made our processes more efficient and stable. I also set up CI/CD pipelines to automate everything from development to production. On top of that, I created a ticketing system and an employee portal that help with things like biometric management and filing leaves. We improved user access by integrating single sign-on across various services. Plus, I had the pleasure of mentoring a team of 9 developers, sharing best practices and helping them grow their skills!
I successfully retained an important client by completing a project that previous developers couldn’t finish, leading to a 2-year partnership. I also spearheaded the development of a crowdfunding platform similar to Kickstarter, working closely with both designers and developers. In that project, I managed a team of four, ensuring tasks were delegated, code quality was checked, and deadlines were met. As a full-stack developer, I’ve worked with various clients globally, creating dozens of websites using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery. I even developed an iOS app with PhoneGap to complement a client's website.
